Preventing damage to your products is something you definitely want to avoid. It simply costs you time and money to repair, which is a waste. The journey from China to the Netherlands is long (7,500 km by air or 15,000 km by sea) and your packages are handled by many people. 😟

Here are some tips to minimize or prevent damage:

  1. Ask your supplier to include extra packaging. This is often available for a small fee. βœ…

  2. Use extra strong boxes. Look for "double" or "triple corrugated cartons," which indicate how many layers of corrugated cardboard are used. The more layers, the stronger the box!

  3. Have the box fully taped in an H-shape at the top. Ask your supplier for "Scotch Heavy Duty Packaging Tape" or the strongest tape they have.

  4. Ask your supplier to use corner profile cartons, which are protective corners made of cardboard or other materials. These protect the corners and edges of your boxes.

  5. Ensure that there is a top and bottom cover in the cartons, which are cardboard panels placed at the top and bottom of the box. This reduces the risk of water damage and keeps the product packaging secure at the edges of the boxes.

  6. Avoid making the boxes too heavy. Heavier boxes have a higher risk of tearing or collapsing. Aim for boxes between 15-20 kg, if possible. βœ…

  7. Use cushioning material inside the boxes. This helps secure the products and prevents them from shifting during transportation. 😎

Last tip: Always request photos from your supplier just before your shipment departs for our warehouse. This way, you have evidence that the products left in good condition.
