Step 1: Creating a Profile.
This step is self-explanatory. Simply fill in your name, email address, and phone number. At the bottom, you'll set a password, and then you can proceed to step 2!
Step 2: VAT Number.
In this step, you enter your VAT number. This number starts with the country code, followed by 9 digits, and ends with "B01" for the Netherlands: NL123456789B01. Everyone receives this number upon registration with the Chamber of Commerce (KvK) or Crossroads Bank for Enterprises (KBO). For Belgian entrepreneurs, it's slightly different. The number starts with the country code "BE" followed by 10 digits: BE01234567891.
Please note that a VAT number may not be immediately active. It may take a few working days for it to become active, depending on the workload at the control office. If you encounter an error message during entry, it could be because your VAT number is not yet active. If you've received confirmation that your VAT number is active but still encounter the error message, please contact the Tax Administration.
Step 3: EORI Number.
For this step, Kenny has written a helpful article that I will provide here for you to review if you're stuck at this stage.
Steps 4 & 5: Chamber of Commerce (KvK) or Crossroads Bank for Enterprises (KBO) Number and Extract.
Ideally, your company should already be automatically filled in at step 4. If not, or if the KvK/KBO number is incorrect, you can manually update it.
Step 6: Personal Information.
This step is also straightforward. Fill in your first name, last name, and the position you hold within your company.
Step 7: Direct Representation (DV).
The final step is the DV. This form needs to be completed to grant our customs partner the right to handle customs clearance for your shipments. Most fields should already be pre-filled. Usually, on page 1, you only need to enter your passport number.
On each page, you are required to sign at the bottom right. On page 3, you may also provide an additional signature and indicate your current location while completing the DV.
After completing these steps, you will receive an email to verify your email address. Occasionally, you may not receive this email. In that case, try logging in to forwarding.boloo.co anyway, as you may still be able to log in successfully.
